I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Northwood in Middlesex. I can be reached by public transport from Harrow, Watford, Pinner, Rickmansworth, Uxbridge, Hillingdon, Ruislip, Eastcote, Stanmore, Oxhey and Bushey, and there is ample parking space.
As a Registered BACP Accredited Counsellor/ Psychotherapist, I am committed to providing Counselling, Psychotherapy and Person Centred Supervision services in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental environment.
I see men, women, teenagers, couples and families from any background who may be experiencing psychological distress, or simply want to talk through a current issue.
I hold additional certificates in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy CBT,
Couple Counselling, Person Centred Supervision, Bereavement Counselling and Time Limited Counselling.
My philosophy is based on the belief that it is the therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and client that heals. I aim to provide a Secure Base for each one of my clients. I use an Integrative approach which enables me to draw on a number of therapeutic models to work with a wide range of issues. Of particualr interest to me is "Attachment Theory" which is so valuable in working with those experiencing relationship problems. The core model underpinning my work is Person Centred.
My aim is to offer Empathy, Understanding, Acceptance and Authenticity. I am neither directive nor judgmental but I can certainly be challenging.
